Fortnite is a Free-to-Play Battle Royale game and so much more. Hang out peacefully with friends while watching a concert or movie. Build and create your own island, or fight to be the last person standing. It comes in 4 Game Modes : Save the World, Battle Royale, Creative, and Zero Build.
Save the World
Save the World takes place in a world where The Storm, an entity, has wiped out 98% of the population and spawns in Husks and Mist Monsters to attack the living. Homebase recruits you, the Commander to lead heroes into battle and expand the Storm Shield to take back our world from the Storm. Build giant forts, and/or fight hordes of monsters through various missions. Craft weapons, train heroes and survivors, and level them up to fight harder and more challenging Monsters.
Battle Royale
Battle Royale is a PvP (Player versus Player) mode where players will spawn on Spawn Island, a place where they can wait until the Battle Bus is ready to fly over the island. Upon entering the Battle Bus, players will have 15 seconds to jump out and skydive to wherever they want on the island. After a minute, the Eye of the Storm, a safe zone, will be marked on the Minimap. Players have roughly 3 minutes until The Storm starts closing in. After the storm reaches the eye, another grace period begins and the eye of the storm shrinks. This process is repeated until the match ends. Any player in the storm will be damaged, with the amount of damage growing after each time the storm closes in until it hits 10 DPS (Damage per Second).
Creative
Creative allows you to design Fortnite games and experiences that can be published and shared with friends online. Recreate Fortnite with your own vision, using your rules on your own personal island. You can also Discover countles community made games to play on the main Discover screen. There are countless of unique games that you can play in Creative, all made by community members like yourself. New games are featured every week on the main Discover screen Launch Fortnite to find new games for you and your friends to play.
Zero Build
Zero Build is a fast-paced and more tactical version of Fortnite Battle Royale. This means players cannot build floors, ramps, or walls. Zero Build gameplay requires utilizing your aiming skills and understanding your surroundings, players will need to utilize the existing cover around the map to avoid incoming fire. Fortnite Zero Build has all the same items and vehicles — and takes place on the same map — as Fortnite Battle Royale. Without building, players have a consistently recharging Overshield ability for an added layer of protection. New content additions and gameplay updates are often applied to both Fortnite Zero Build and Fortnite Battle Royale.
